So today I decided to do some running around by myself. I just went to the library, Starbucks, and the gas station, but it was good to get out and drive. That's only the 2nd time I have driven since we've been in Maryland.

Anyway, I went to the gas station and when I was checking out the woman said with a smile "When are you due?" I said "October." As in "October! I can't believe it'll be here before I know it." She said "Oh, I know you're ready." I replied "Aw, I don't know. Not really." Because we all know -I'm not. Then she says back to me "Really? Because you look miserable."

Ouch. I didn't understand either. I was dressed nice, I have my make up done, and my hair fixed. It's not like I was in sweats and all slummy looking. Guess I'm past the days of glowing and into the days of looking miserable. :rotfl:

Oh the cravings.

Does anyone know if anything is safe to drink from Starbucks while preggers. I know you can have caffeine but isn't it like 8oz AND that's not including all the sugary goodness they put in it.

I just want a Green Tea Frapp, no melon, 2 pumps white mocha SO BAD. Maybe if I get one, and just drink half of it?

Is it too much to ask?

Posted By LaylaCams on Feb 20, 2008 at 4:01PM

When I got married I thought the most annoying thing I'd have to tolerate my husband doing is leaving the toilet seat up, but was I wrong.

I'd just like it if you close the closet doors when you're finished, rinse your milk glasses all the way out, put your dirty clothes IN the basket - not on the kitchen table, bedroom floor, ON TOP of the washer, or on the couch, put your playstation controllers up when you're finished playing, put your shoes in the SHOE basket, put the new roll of toilet paper on the holder -not sitting on top of the empty roll that's still on the holder, and leave the porch light on for me since it is dark when I get home.

That's not too much to ask for right?

He does put the toilet seat down atleast. So I will give him that.

annnnd I'm done.

NOT complaining. WITH PICTURE!!

I don't know if anyone remembers me mentioning that I had trouble with my previous wedding bands? Had a pear cut at first, diamonds kept falling out of it, then switched to a princess cut, and diamonds were becoming lose, I could usually catch them and have them tightened before they actually fell out. I adored both of those bands and didn't care to keep having the diamonds tightened on them, it's like a car you have to change the oil if you want it to run properly. And it was free; part of my warranty.

Well, my most recent wedding band set is the princess cut, fyi. The hubs and I were sitting on the couch watching Wife Swap, and I went to move a throw pillow and heard a snagging noise. Looked down at my ring, gasped, and behold one of the diamonds fell out. I immediately got upset, of course. Screaming that I wanted the money back and bla, which in turn upset my husband.

The next day he took the ring to the Jewelers and demanding the money back, we spoke with the district manager and everything. They kept saying "We will see what we can do." The jewelry company that I buy all my jewelry from is Zales, and they've been fabulous for the past (atleast) 5 years that me and adam have been purchasing jewelry from there. They worked with me as much as they could. Of course they said they didn't want to just give the money back to us. That'd be to easy, they wanted to make sure we were happy. Which is fine. Like I said, I can not say anything bad about this company. Any time I've had problems with my rings they have bent over backwards for me. But I just got fed up. I was tired of constantly have my ring in the shop and it was unfair. We paid a good amount for that ring, and I just felt like the quality should have been better. I felt bad for my husband, because he was only trying to please me by purchasing, and then it keeps upsetting me with the diamonds falling out.

I finally called the woman that we usually deal with and explained to her how I felt. Sure, give me a full cash refund, I wont complain, but I still adore Zales and wanted to be a customer there so I wanted to see exactly what we could do. What all my options were. She told me "Just come in the store, let me see what we can do. We're going to make sure you leave here tonight happy, and no matter what we will call it even."

I went there when I got off work, and let me just tell you I felt like Reese Witherspoon on Sweet Home Alabama. She had me atleast 10 different rings picked out already and took me from case to case picking the ring I wanted.

I finally came to a decision and got a ring I totally love. It's actually 3 rings. The band, the solitare diamond, and an enhancer. It came out to be 1500 dollars more than what my ring was!! At first I was like wouldn't it just be easier for them to give me a refund and send me somewhere else, but after I thought about it, with Zales you can trade your ring in for value. Say if your ring is worth 5,000 and you want a 10,000 dollar ring, you only end up paying 5,000 when you trade in your ring. So technically they know they'll eventually make that money back off me, but still. Not many companies work with you so well.

So, rock on Zales. Rock on.

I was just bored...

Posted By LaylaCams on Jan 16, 2008 at 6:35PM

that's how it all started. I'd slowly pace around the house and make my way into the kitchen. I'd grab a cookie here, grab a cookie there, and so on. Well next thing I know I had ate a pecan roll (it was a small one:raspberry:), a mcflurry, a bag of popcorn, some pickles, some cheese, and some Cheez its.

Have you ever done this?

True Story.

Posted By LaylaCams on Jan 9, 2008 at 8:59PM

Before I tell this story let me just add my husband does not hit/beat me. I wouldn't be openly telling you guys this story if he was.

Ahem, anyways.

Today we were getting ready to go out for dinner and I had just put on my jeans. I was buttoning the top of my jeans looking into the closest for a shirt to wear. Well, my husband came up behind me and smacked my butt. HARD. He smacked it so hard it not only knocked the wind out of me, but I blacked out and the next thing I know I'm face forward in the closest. When I opened my eyes my husband was like "Babe, are you okay?" and I kept saying "Can't get up. Can't get up" and I kept reaching for the shelf in my closest to help me up. I knew I had a low pain tolerance, but jeez a smack on the ass almost sent me into a seizure.

[I should add that my husband is 6'5 and a good 275 pounds and underestimates how hard his ass slappings are]

You know how you have an out of body experience and you imagine what you look like? Well, I can not stop laughing at the thought of me up against the wall, face forward in my closest, saying Cant, get, up. Bahaha.

Just wanted to share.

Carry on.

Got a new cell phone!

Posted By LaylaCams on Jan 6, 2008 at 7:49AM

and I love it so far! I got the new Blackjack II. I wanted something with a full keyboard on it, but wasn't super bulky so that way I could still keep it in my pockets at work. I got it in the crimson red, red wine, or burgundy ..whatever you want to call it. Just thought I'd share just in case any of you guys are looking for a new phone. It's the same price as the old Blackjack too. I think it's pretty much a steal.

Does anyone else have it? Do you love/hate it?
